Our Cottage

Our cottage

The entrance to the cottage leads into an open plan sitting room, dining area and separate kitchen.
The sitting room is beautifully furnished with a comfortable sofa and armchairs around an original fireplace with wood burning stove.

There is also a TV with Freeview, a DVD and CD player/ Digital radio and iPod dock. A selection of books, games, CDs and DVDs. The cottage has Wi-Fi internet access. There is also a payphone for your use.

Although there is a log burning stove, the house is centrally heated for those days when there is no need for a roaring log fire.

The hand-painted kitchen is well equipped with fridge (with freezer compartment), cooker with extractor hood, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave etc.

At the front of the house there is a small sitting out area which is ideal to enjoy an early evening glass of wine. The cottage is equipped with garden furniture for this purpose.

We are great dog lovers and you are welcome to bring a well-behaved dog, bowl provided!

Parking is available down on the Quay (there is a charge, but free to National Trust members) or further up the High Street there is a small car park, this now has a daily charge.

The Norfolk Coastal Path is a few steps from the front door of the cottage, with access to salt marshes, creeks and the sea. The Cottage is close to all village amenities, including, shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants.

The wooden staircase leads up to the landing bedroom with vaulted ceiling. There is an antique pine bed and room for a further single bed, which is stored in the cottage, and/or a cot.

A door leads into the tastefully furnished double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and small decorative fireplace. Both bedrooms are made up with fine bed linen.

The period bathroom (ground floor) has a cast iron roll top bath with shower attachment, lavatory and wash basin. We also provide our guests with luxurious soaps and bubble bath handmade for the Cottage by The Natural Soap Company in nearby Wells next the Sea.
